Partnership between Metallurgical Research & Technology and ESTAD 2025
In 2025 Metallurgical Research & Technology and ESTAD 2025 have established a media partnership, contributing to the dissemination of research and development in the field of the metallurgy.
Metallurgical Research & Technology is a peer-reviewed bi-monthly journal publishing original high-quality research papers in areas ranging from process metallurgy to metal product properties and applications of ferrous and non-ferrous metals and alloys, including light-metals. It covers also the materials involved in the metal processing as ores, refractories and slags. The journal is listed in the citation index Web of Science and has an Impact Factor.
It is highly concerned by the technological innovation as a support of the metallurgical industry at a time when it has to tackle severe challenges like energy, raw materials, sustainability, environment... Strengthening and enhancing the dialogue between science and industry is at the heart of the scope of MRT. This is why it welcomes manuscripts focusing on industrial practice, as well as basic metallurgical knowledge or review articles.
The journal was formerly well known as « La Revue de Métallurgie », created in 1904 by the famous metallurgist Henry Le Chatelier.
The European Steel Technology and Application Days – ESTAD 2025 will take place for the seventh time after Paris 2014, Düsseldorf 2015, Vienna 2017, Düsseldorf 2019, Stockholm 2021 and Düsseldorf 2023.
7th ESTAD 2025 will be hosted by AIM, the Italian Association for Metallurgy, in cooperation with Siderweb – the Italian steel community, in Verona – Italy on 6-9 October 2025.
ESTAD was founded ten years ago with the aim of creating a flagship conference bringing together steel manufacturers, suppliers, users, universities, research institutes and plant engineers and has become a leading conference for metallurgy and materials technology.
The meeting will be focused on the technological advances, changes of the supply chain involving the raw materials and energy sources, transformation of the production processes and plants to accomplish the twin transition (ecological and digital) and the new perspective of steel applications.
This partnership will contribute to increase the visibility of the two partners. A Topical issue with papers based on the contributions to the conference, will be published, after peer-review, in Metallurgical research & Technology.
