Metallurgical Research & Technology records steady Impact Factor and CiteScore gains

Metallurgical Research & Technology is pleased to announce positive increases in both its Impact Factor and CiteScore rankings, reflecting the journal's growing relevance in metallurgical engineering and materials science.

The 2025 Impact Factor (2026 Journal Citation Reports™) for the journal is 1.2, representing a 9.1% increase from last year. The journal's CiteScore has also risen, from 1.8 (2024 CiteScore, Clarivate 2025) to 1.9 in the 2026 report.

These improvements demonstrate the trust placed in Metallurgical Research & Technology by the international metallurgy community. The journal publishes original research, reviews, perspectives and short communications covering all aspects of metallurgy, from making to using steel and other metals.
