The integrated control system of DHCR operations and reheating furnace for hot strip mill*
Contrôle intégré des opérations d’enfournement direct à chaud et du four de réchauffage au train à bandes
The Kashima Hot Strip Mill operates direct hot charge rolling (DHCR) mixed with hot (HCR) or cold charge rolling (CCR). By the optimum synchronization, the DHCR ratio has reached about 50-60 %. The reheating furnace has also been improved in 1994. As a consequence, energy saving and high accuracy operations of the reheating furnace have been attained.
