Strip testing system « Europa » with computer aided test data evaluation*
Système « Europa » de contrôle de bande avec interprétation assistée par calculateur
An on-line non destructive testing of strips is indispensable for quality assurance. The Europa test system uses phased-array EMATs and defects detection is carried out by Lamb waves.
The test system has been tried in operation at the exit of a pickling line for ferromagnetic strip.
Main results are exposed.
