Numerical analysis of hot and oxygen blast furnace operations using a two-dimensional mathematical model*
Analyse numérique des marches à vent chaud et à l’oxygène, au moyen d’un modèle mathématique bidimensionnel
Analysis of hot and oxygen blast furnace were carried out using a two-dimensional axially symmetric steady-state model incorporating simultaneous processes of gas flow, heat transfer, mass transfer and chemical reactions.
The main results are explained, as regards ore diameter and porosity, high temperature properties of ore and effects of preheating gas injection into the shaft.
