Lubrication as an element of cold rolling process*
La lubrification, élément moteur du laminage à froid
The constant increase in rolling speeds and reductions pursued by all European mills has result in more critical sheet/roll inter-reaction. The chief properties required of an emulsion includes homogeneous particle distribution, particle resistance to shearing, good thermal stability and additives with reliable anti-wear qualities.
This necessitates the establishment of specification demands and quality guarantees with lubricant suppliers.
