Manufacturing rails for TGV
Fabrication des rails pour TGV
Unimetal produces TGV rails since 1978 for the French TGV tracks. Paris-Lyon track first and then the Atlantic TGV track has been equipped with UIC 60 rails rolled in Hayange mill from CC blooms of Gandrange steelshop.
Unimetal, rich of a know-how of 240,000 tons produced, is willing to improve the purity of the steel and the straightness of the rails in order to fulfill the requirements of the future 3,400 km double-track SNCF network.
