En 1995, Sollac Mardyck a fortement investi pour renforcer sa filière de production d’acier électrozingué en portant notamment la capacité de production à 300 kt/an de tôles électrozinguées sur Elma.
Des investissements ont également été réalisés pour développer la qualité du produit exigé par la clientèle automobile : extension de capacité en recuit base sous hydrogène pur et construction d’une ligne d’inspection de l’aspect de surface sur un brin vertical
