Monitoring coke oven wall deformation by means of laser triangulation*
Surveillance par triangulation laser de la déformation des parois de four à coke
In view of the early detection of wall damages, DMT has developed a measuring system capable of objectively determining deformations at chamber walls. The system is based on the laser triangulation measuring technique. The first realization was a stationary device that was installed at a pushing machine of the former Zollverein coking plant. Because of the positive results using that device, a mobile measuring system (MKB-system) was developed, that can be used easily at different coke plants.
