Massive coal injection at Hoogovens IJmuiden blast furnaces*
Injection massive de charbon dans les hauts fourneaux d'Hoogovens IJmuiden
The Hoogovens IJmuiden system was built in 1982-1983 and its capacity increased afterwards. It consists of two pulverizers and transport and distribution lines for BF 6 and 7.
21 various coals have been injected with an injection rate up to 150 kg/thm (monthly rate). Recently a continuous rate of 175 kg/thm has been achieved and 200 kg or more are aimed.
