Abstract

The two blast furnaces of Nagoya works have reached a high and stable rate of production (over 2.6 t/d.m³). That is due to :

• –

  improvement of burden quality, especially in sinter ;

• –

  adjustment of burden distribution ;

• –

  increase of gas heat flow ratio and high PCR (pulverized coal rate) ;

• –

  use of an expert system for operation and equipment control.
