Recycling in the steel industry*
Le recyclage en sidérurgie
The amount of iron- and steelmaking by-products could be reduced below 500 kg/tcs. Steel industry has developed recycling methods for about 90 % of all by-products.
Remaining problems exist for some iron bearing dusts and sludges. Pilot tests are under way. New developments in EC- and national legislation tend to hamper further success in recycling.
