Développements techniques de la coulée continue horizontale pour les tubes sans soudure

Abstract

A full-scale renovation of horizontal continuous casting machine such as movable multistaged electromagnetic stirrers, on-line controlled cooling furnaces and so on, was carried out. At the same time, characteristic technologies for breakrings and molds have been established. As the result, the stability of casting operation and the quality of billets have been improved and the applicable steel grade and casting size were extended.
