Ultra-low carbon steel for DWI cans production : the best way for ultralight
Les aciers à ultra-bas carbone pour la fabrication de boîtes DWI « ultralight »
In the beverage can market, the competition between steel and aluminium requires the offer of a competitive product with good economical and technical results. The major cost improvement is obtained by a significant thickness decrease.
The ultra-low carbon steel enables this decrease with a canmaking line efficiency higher than with standard steel or aluminium. In this context, Sollac has developed the Ultralight steel in partnership with customers.
