Development of high performance steel bars using “4-roll rolling technology” and TMCP*
Production de barres à hautes performances en utilisant la technologie « quatre galets » et le laminage thermomécanique
Bars with high dimensional accuracy and high toughness have been developed by using advanced technologies. Using the 4-roll rolling method, it is possible to produce bars of intermediate size without changing rolls and having high dimensional accuracy (tolerance of ± 0.1 mm). TMCP technology can be applied effectively using a high rigidity roughing mill and the results of rolling simulation. The mechanical properties of as-rolled high toughness bars are improved by TMCP.
