New installations, new directions and new results at CST’s ironmaking area*
Nouveaux équipements, nouvelles pratiques et derniers résultats de CST dans le secteur fonte
Since 1993, new and up-to-date pieces of equipment were acquired and installed. At present, they are fully operational and providing a boost in production, quality, cost, yields and on the environmental control.
This paper covers mainly the development in the ironmaking area, emphasized by the increase in production of hot metal and supplies such as sinter, coke and utilities, brought about the commencement of operation of the No. 2 blast furnace.
