EBSD orientation maps of the CS (a) and HFQS (b) materials determined before hardening treatment. The microstructure is bainitic for the CS steel (a) and ferritic for the HFQS steel (b). The color corresponds to the crystallographic orientation of the ND direction within the crystal reference frame, according to the color code given by the unit triangle. For both microstructures, the step size is equal to 0.2 μm and the boundaries corresponding to misorientations between 25° and 45° have been plotted as dark lines.
