This paper describes refractories used in ladle metallurgy at Indiana Harbor Works :

refractories for ladles and roofs of ASEA ladle furnace,

VCP degasser with its various components, particularly top, upper/middle and lower sections and snorkels.
Significant progresses have been performed, leading to an improvement of service life and cost reduction.
