Galvannealed sheet steel with excellent press formability*
Tôles galvanisées-alliées présentant une excellente emboutissabilité
Galvannealed steel sheet for exposed panels of automotives is required to exhibit the excellent mechanical properties and the superior coating adhesion. The former properties can be accomplished by the usage of ultra low carbon steel added with small amount of Ti and Nb as substrate.
Surface defects such as streak are eliminated by the decrease in Ti content of substrate.
On the other hand, the phase r deteriorates adhesion of galvannealed coating and causes pimple defects. This phase is suppressed through the precise control of Fe content in the coating which accompanies the optimization of Al content in the galvanizing bath and galvannealing temperature.
