New coiling temperature control on hot strip mill*
Nouveau système de régulation de la température de bobinage sur train à bandes à chaud
An advanced cooling equipment and a new control system have been developed in order to improve the accuracy of coiling temperature and to enable the flexible cooling pattern control after hot rolling. The main feature of new cooling equipment is the installation of the large capacity overhead tank, a high density layout pipe laminar flow header and multi-spray header. In addition, a new computer system has been introduced for coiling temperature control and improvement of the temperature calculation model. Consequently, the accuracy of the coiling temperature has been improved.
By applying this new cooling equipment, various kinds of high-strength steel sheets with superior formability have been produced.
