Outline of the No. 3 cluster type rolling mill for stainless steel at Kashima Steel Works*
Configuration du laminoir à froid n° 3 pour aciers inoxydables de l’usine de Kashima
In order to meet market demands for stainless steel strip, the No. 3 CR mill was installed. No. 3 CR mill is a new 12-high cluster type rolling mill.
This mill has several excellent features :
– excellent shape control system consisting of an IMR bender, levelling, BUR crown adjustment and presetting of actuators ;
– automation (WR, coil, paper, etc.) ;
– compact design.
Through the use of No. 3 CR mill, we can provide high quality product and achieve high productivity. The facilities and operating conditions are described in this report.
