Development of a smelting-reduction process for steelmaking dust recycling*
Développement d'un procédé de fusion-reduction pour le recyclage des poussières d'aciérie
A new smelting-reduction process was developed at the pilot plant scale for the recycling of steelmaking dust. A commercial plant has then been built and is operating successfully since May 1994. The process is characterized by a coke packed bed, direct use of fine raw materials without sintering, and two rows of tuyeres at different levels of the shaft.
