Improvement of billet casting productivity through the development of a mould (HS-mould) for high speed casting*
Lingotière à haute productivité pour la coulée continue de billettes à grande vitesse.
Improvement of CCM capacity is needed for productivity improvement at the melting shop and accordingly high speed casting is a must. In order to achieve high speed casting, a special parabola type taper mould with bigger taper ratio has been designed. Furthermore, optimized water pressure for mould spray and roller apron spray also contribute to an improvement of casting productivity.
