Sensor system for continuous monitoring of the zinc coating weight on hot dip galvanized wires*
Dispositif de mesure en continu de la charge de zinc sur fils galvanisés à chaud
A complete industrial sensor system, including computer data processing has been developed for the continuous monitoring of zinc (or zinc alloy) coating weight in the range of 80 to 500 g/m2 deposited on steel wires of different grades and diameters varying between 1.5 and 6.0 mm.
First on-line measurement results show the effectiveness of this technology in view of process control.
