Thermodynamic assessment of Al2O3–SiO2–Ce2O3 system

The Al2O3–SiO2, Ce2O3–Al2O3 and Ce2O3–SiO2 binary systems were assessed by Redlich–Kister expression based on the sub-regular solution model. Then, the Al2O3–Ce2Si2O7 system was calculated on the basis of existing experimental data. All the interaction parameters related to the Al2O3–SiO2–Ce2O3 system were given. The calculated phase diagrams were proved to be accurate when compared with the experimental points or the similar phase diagrams. Finally, a series of phase diagrams were present about the Al2O3–SiO2–Ce2O3 system.
