Merits of Consteel® for the environment
Les avantages du procédé Consteel® pour l’environnement
Conceived in the late 1970’s to counter the high costs and loads on the environment seen in electric steelmaking, the Consteel process is an innovative continuous scrap preheating melting system that has proven itself not only in economic terms but also with respect to pollution control.
The Consteel process can function with a high degree of economic efficiency. However, a major question in the minds of everyone, including the steelmaker, is whether it is friendly to the environment. It has been demonstrated by the process that it is meeting local and national regulations on the control of pollution of all kinds : air, soil, water, and noise.
