Development of RH-powder top blowing process *
Développement d’un procédé d’injection de poudre pour le RH
The RH-PB (RH-Powder Top Blowing) method is the new refining process in which the pulverized material is blown into the molten metal through the water-cooled lance set in RH. By this method, the following new refining functions can be realized :
- –
desulphurization by the blowing of CaO-based flux ;
- –
acceleration of decarburization at [C] less than 20 ppm by the blowing of Fe2O3.
