Continuous casting developments at British Steel*
Développements de la coulée continue chez British Steel
This paper details how mould thermal monitoring can be used to change incrementally existing casting practices. In addition, step change developments will allow to improve the liquid steel delivery from the tundish to mould and thus to enhance steel quality. Two such developments are described in the paper.
