Dead-man temperature estimation based on the acoustic CT method*
Estimation de la température de l’homme mort par une méthode tomographique acoustique
A new sensor measuring the two dimensional temperature distribution of the dead-man in a blast furnace has been developed. The principle is an acoustic wave computed tomography method based on the theory that acoustic velocity in gas depends on temperature.
The features of a new measurement apparatus and the measurement results in actual blast furnaces carried out during the scheduled shutdown are presented and discussed.
