Technological advances of production of ultra-low carbon steel at Chiba Works*
In recent years, various requirements including high productivity, high quality, and low cost operation are placed on rolled steel sheets such as ultra-low carbon steel. To meet these requirements, various new processes have been developed in the steelmaking process (Q-BOP, RH-degasser with KTB, vertical bending type machine with FC mould).
